libskk-common software package provides library to deal with Japanese kana-kanji conversion method - common files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libskk-common
libskk-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libskk-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libskk-common *
You will get with libskk-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
